TRAVEL SOCCER TEAMS
2006-2007 INDOOR SEASON Starts in November
Selection process BYSA has developed age-specific Tryout Plans and Evaluation Criteria. Each Player is evaluated by 2 BYSA Coaches and the Coaching Directors. Evaluations will be scored and players will be ranked. Coaching Directors will develop the final rosters considering ranking, team needs, and player/parent commitment. If the number of players allow, BYSA may form more than one team in an Age Group/Division.
Notification Process BYSA will notify you within two weeks from the date of the tryout. If the player has been selected you will be contacted by the Head Coach who will pass on all relevant information.
Commitment for Parents and Players BYSA Competitive Soccer demands a commitment from both the player and the parents. Players are expected to attend all practices and games routinely except in acceptable situations. In most case there will be one practice and one game per week. The player is also expected to demonstrate good team work, attitude and good sportsmanship at all times. Parents are also expected to commit to getting the players to all practices and games on time. Parents must also commit to a Code of Conduct ensuring good sportsmanship.
Schedule/Indoor Fees Last year BYSA teams played at the Somerset (MA) Multiplex which has 2 x 10 week sessions starting in November and ending in April. Registration Fees are $75 per player per session. However, this year some teams may elect to play in a different league/location that is more appropriate for their skill level. This decision will be made after tryouts are completed and teams developed. Further information will be made available by mid October.
Uniforms Costs BYSA Indoor Uniforms can be purchased for approx. $50.00. Indoor Uniforms are the same as the Spring Travel Uniforms and may be utilized by the Player for both Indoor and Spring/Fall Outdoor Competitive Soccer.
We are continually looking for Coaches, Assistants and volunteers at all levels.
