The Broncos took to the pitch on February 23rd, short handed and won their fifth game of the second indoor session. This time the opponent was the DR Strikers Green team. The final score was 14-0.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The Broncos goal keeping efforts were made by Michaela Goglia and Lauren James. The keepers better known as the wall sisters continue to baffle the opponents with their ability and skills. The wall sisters displayed great game awareness and were ready anytime the Strikers started to mount an offensive attack.

During the second half the Strikers were allowed to add an extra player. This had little effect on the dominate Broncos. The Broncos continued to pass the ball to the open player. The Broncos were relentless in creating scoring opportunities and capitalized on the opportunities.

Offensively, scoring opportunities were turned into goals by Aurora Faria, Kennedy Cabral, Rebeccah Trefethen, Sophie McKenzie, Cassidy Allen, Michaela Goglia, and Lauren James.  The players were very unselfish in front of the goal and executed fantastic passing at all points on the pitch. Emma Egan took several shots but was unable to get the ball to the back of the net. Emmas quick decision to find the open player and pass the ball created fantastic scoring opportunities. Coach Klein was overheard telling reporters Im very pleased with the unselfishness of the offense. When seven, thats right seven different players, score goals, they are passing the ball to the open player.

On the other side of the field the defense played very aggressive. The defense, again allowed very few shots on net. The stingy defense was played by Cassidy Allen, Lauren James, Michaela Goglia, Aurora Faria, and Emma Egan. During the second half the defense really applied pressure and moved forward to the midfield line and kept the ball in the opponents half of the field.

On March 8th the Broncos will take to the pitch against the controversial Bristol Cyclones. The Broncos beat the Cyclone during the first match up 5-3 and lost the second game 7-5.  The second game resulted in a scandal. Questioned by reporters Coach Klein was stated: It just goes to show how poor officiating can change a game. He also stated: All the Cyclone suspects are under surveillance and hopefully this wont happen again. Coach Kris is not allowed to coach until he is cleared of all charges. It is rumored he may use a disguise to enter the facility and box. Klein told reports He may attempt to use the Dunkin Donuts Mascot as his disguise to enter the facility. Klein also wants to remind all players and parents that they should be on the lookout for any suspicious activities and report it to the proper authorities. This rematch is sure to be an exciting one. So come early and get a good seat. Dont forget to cheer for your favorite player or coach.
