The U12 Bristol Rockets clinched a tournament first place finish at the Nashua Columbus Day Tournament.  They entered the semifinals vs. NEFC with a winning record with previous matches against NH Classics (2-0), Seacoast (4-2) and Noreaster Academica (8-0).  The semifinals vs. NEFC was scoreless thorough 2 halves.  A goal by Michaela Goglia in the 5 minute overtime clinched the victory to send the Rockets into the final match vs. fellow Rhode Island team, South County.

The finals proved to be another tough battle with a bigger and more physical South County squad.  South County scored first but the score was tied with a goal by Olivia Cairrao.  At the end of regulation and after two five minute overtimes, it remained tied.  The game went into penalty shots with Jenna Cimbron making 3 amazing saves.  Penalty shots were scored by Laura Lopes, Kayleigh Faria and Taylor DeMello to clinch the tournament win.  It was a well fought match and a great weekend of soccer!
