Bristol Dunkin Donuts franchisee Joe Prazeres made a $6,000 donation to the Bristol Youth Soccer Association recently. The donation will provide the more than 150 members of the indoor soccer teams, from under-6 to under-14, with warm-up jerseys, equipment bags, coachs gear, and practice time at the Multiplex Sports facility.

We are so thankful to the Prazeres family for their generous donation, said Ron Gamon, President of the Bristol Youth Soccer Association. Now, the kids not only identify with their own team, but with the Association as a whole, and truly feel like they are part of something special.

Joe Prazeres, owner of the Dunkin Donuts shops in Bristol, commented, Youth sports are key in the development of well-rounded children, and we are thrilled to make this donation to our future soccer stars.

A Dunkin Donuts franchisee since 1988, Joe Prazeres owns and operates seven Dunkin Donuts shops in Bristol, Barrington, and Warren, where he works alongside his two sons, Chris and Cliff, ensuring the highest quality of service and products to his valued customers.

As chairman of the Providence market ad committee, the group of Dunkin Donuts franchisees that directs all funding for charitable programs, Prazeres has led decisions to fund several charitable programs including the creation of an annual scholarship program for local students, on-going support for Special Olympics Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Blood Center, support for the Jimmy Fund, Hasbro Childrens Hospital, and a host of other community programs.

In addition, Prazeres supports several local programs with monetary and product donations in Barrington and Bristol including the American Heart Walk, the Bristol 4th of July Parade, the Veterans Home, Little League, youth soccer, and other youth programs.
